Sioux Valley 72 Deuel 27
VOLGA The Sioux Valley girlss team put on a good show Tuesday night, routing Deuel 72-27.
A 28-point second quarter gave the Sioux Valley a 44-14 halftime lead and the Cossacks never looked back after that.
Two Sioux Valley players, Talya Vincent and Amari Ward eclipsed the 20-point mark with 21 points each. Liberty Trygstad also hit double figures for the Cossacks, with 12 points.
Sioux Valleys shooters hit 16 3-pointers in the game. Vincent had seven, Trygstad had three and Ward hit four.
Kailey Cradduck and Masey Top were the top rebounders for the Cossacks with eight and five, respectively.
Jaycee Hourigan was the top scorer for the Cardinals with 10 points and Deuels Camdyn Peterreins grabbed seven rebounds.
Flandreau 64 De Smet 41
FLANDREAU The De Smet girls basketball team traveled to Flandreau Tuesday night.
The hometown Fliers came away with a 64-41 win.
A trio of players led the Fliers to victory. Sadie Iott had 16 points and five assists. Morgan Sheppard also had a good night for Flandreau with 15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals. Hannah Krull contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to the Fliers cause.
The Bulldogs Hazel Luethmers led all scorers with 17 points.
