BROOKINGS Sioux Falls Roosevelt rode into Bob Jostad Gym on Tuesday night and galloped home with a 45-31 win over the hometown Bobcats.
The Bobcats couldnt buy a bucket in the first half, and despite a furious third-quarter rally, never got within striking distance.
Roosevelt led 11-6 after one quarter and 24-8 at the half.
The Roughriders Henlee Loof led all scorers with 14 points.
Logan Smidt paced Brookings with 12 points. Sloan McClagan chipped in six.
Roosevelt also dominated in the paint and on second-chance points, outscoring Brookings 28-10 in those categories. The Roughriders largest lead was 20 points.
Brookings had won four straight before dropping two of three to Sioux Falls competition.
The Bobcats finish the gauntlet at Sioux Falls Jefferson on Friday night.
In boys action in Sioux Falls on Tuesday, the Bobcats fell to Sioux Falls Roosevelt 73-54.
