VOLGA The Brookings County Sheriffs Office is investigating a threatening note discovered at Sioux Valley High School.
According to a news release from the Sioux Valley School District, a note claiming explosives were planted in a boys’ bathroom was discovered in a classroom. The note was found Monday, after school had dismissed. School staff immediately contacted the sheriffs office, and deputies searched the building. The sheriffs office reported they were unable to locate anything suspicious.
There was never any harm to staff or students, Laura Schuster, Sioux Valley superintendent, said. It has been reported to law enforcement, and they are investigating it, and we will follow up with disciplinary action if they do figure out who was behind it.
