Bobcat gymnastics comes in third in home quadrangular

BROOKINGS The Brookings gymnastics team finished in third in a home quadrangular with Harrisburg, Watertown and Pierre on Monday night.

The Bobcats had a 140.400 team score. Harrisburg came in first place with a score of 151.050. Watertown finished in second (141.850) and Pierre came in fourth (136.550).

Layla Erickson had an all around score of 36.400. She had a score of 9.000 in the vault and 8.850 in the uneven bars. Erickson had a score of 9.250 in the balance beam and 9.200 in the floor exercise.

Kennedy Ronning had an all around score of 35.200. She had a score of 8.300 in the vault and 8.850 in the uneven bars. Ronning had a score of 9.550 in the balance beam and 8.800 in the floor exercise.

Ava Petterson had an all around score of 34.700. She had a score of 8.150 in the vault and 8.550 in the uneven bars. Petterson had a score of 8.900 in the balance beam and 9.100.

Brooklyn Ballis had an all around score of 34.200. She had a score of 8.350 in the vault and 8.250 in the uneven bars. Ballis had a score of 9.000 in balance beam and 8.600 in the floor exercise.

Nevaeh Strohfus had an all around score of 32.600. She had a score of 7.900 in the vault and 7.700 in the uneven bars. Strohfus had a score of 8.500 in both the balance beam and the floor exercise.

Harper Overby had a score of 8.200 in the floor exercise and 8.100 in the vault. Lexi Norgaard had a score of 8.900 in the balance beam and 7.750 in the uneven bars.

Brookings will compete in the Eastern South Dakota Conference Meet on Saturday in Yankton at noon.
