The Brookings junior varsity boys team went 2-0 over the weekend with wins over Huron and Aberdeen.
Boys JV
Brookings 4, Huron 2
The Rangers skated past the All Stars on Friday night.
Maxten Jensen scored two goals for Brookings, with Tryston Hostler and Connor Buckley also finding the net. Parker Nielson had a pair of assists, and Mavrick Bortnem, Ashton Baker and Cooper Schneider each had one.
Paxtyn Pottorff got the win in net as Brookings outshot Huron 45-19.
Brookings 3, Aberdeen 0
The Rangers got a shutout win on the road to improve to 6-1 in league play.
Jensen and Nielsen had a goal and an assist each, and Jason Ready buried one for Brookings.
Ryder Anderson turned away all 17 shots he saw to earn the shutout between the pipes.
Bantam A
Brookings 2, Aberdeen 1
The Rangers skated past the Cougars on Saturday afternoon in Aberdeen to push their league-leading record to 9-1.
Ethan Foerster and Un-Hyeng Keay were the scorers for the Rangers, with Keay and Colt VanMaanen recording assists.
Jon Drew got the win in net as Brookings outshot Aberdeen 36-7.
Girls 14U
Brookings 5, Aberdeen 0
The Rangers blanked the Cougars to move to 7-2 in league play.
Khloe Ziegeldorf led the way with two goals and an assist for Brookings. Grace Devries, Ashton Otteson and Katie Vandersnick also scored.
Brooke Kruse and Brooklyn Nelson had helpers for the Rangers.
Avery Dentlinger earned the shutout in goal and Brookings outshot Aberdeen 29-10.
Pee Wee A
The Rangers ran past the Cougars to start off the Brookings road sweep.
Gavin Zweibahmer and Coy Friedrich each had a pair of goals and Branch Otteson and Max Harris also scored. Otteson, Jacob Myhre and Oliver Ahmann had helpers for the Rangers.
Pee Wee C
The Rangers skated against some stiff competition at a Pee Wee B tournament in Marshall.
Eagan 8, Brookings 0
Nash Billings faced more than 50 shots in net in the Rangers opener.
West Fargo 7, Brookings 2
Liam Diercks led the Rangers with a goal and an assist. Otto Hasselhorst had the other goal for Brookings, and Billings made 36 saves between the pipes.
Wayzata 8, Brookings 0
Billings made 48 saves for the Rangers.
Fargo 8, Brookings 2
Cooper Hyde scored twice for the Rangers and Adrian Almhjeld had an assist. Billings went the distance in goal.
