A group of students from the Brookings High School Choir Program took part in the 2024 South Dakota All-State Choir, which was in Sioux Falls under the direction of Michael Hanawalt from the University of Florida.
These dedicated students spent weeks preparing for the event, including a preparation day at South Dakota State University where they rehearsed alongside peers from across the state. Their hard work, determination, and commitment to vocal excellence culminated in aperformance that showcased their talents on Nov. 2 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
The Brookings High School students who participated in the All-State Choir were Josie Bertrand, Josie Entwistle, Madeline Enderson, Clare Strong, Heidi Green, Isabella Park, Kate Jewett, Karter Chavez, Hannah Okerman, Cadence Cedar, Aninka Brozel, Michael Lam, Jon Kahler, Shane Nupen, Ruben Trujillo, Gavin Smith, Asher Bucholz, Alex Diersen, Landon Wingate and Luka Kennedy.
