Rorii Quam, Rangers shut out Oahe in Saturday matinee

BROOKINGS Rorii Quam was impressive in goal as the Brookings Rangers offense backed her up with plenty of offense in a 6-0 win over the Oahe Capitals on Saturday afternoon.

The win helped Brookings improve to 3-3-0 on the season.

Emily Meyer opened the scoring for Brookings with a goal from Julissa Peterson with 8:26 left in the first period. Sawyer Triplett doubled the lead with her fourth goal of the year at 2:38 of the first period and the Rangers added a pair of goals from Anna Rasmussen (from Ava Kahle and Peterson with 7:53 left and an unassisted goal with 2:23 remaining) in the second period to run the lead up to 4-0 at the second intermission.

Miyah Foerster scored an unassisted goal with 6:55 left in the game and Rasmussen completed the hat trick from Peterson with 3:22 remaining to finish the game for Brookings.

The Rangers will return to action when they travel to Watertown on Dec. 20.
