BROOKINGS Prairie View Medical Clinic has announced the addition of Jodi Jung to its team starting Jan. 6. She is a certified nurse practitioner.
Jung brings 15 years of experience in rural health care, specializing in family medicine, emergency room coverage, internal medicine, chronic disease management, and DOT physicals. She has has a strong passion for delivering comprehensive, compassionate care.
Jung has done extensive training with the Institute of Functional Medicine and has a strong interest in gut health and autoimmune disease. She utilizes an evidence-based approach to address the root causes of health concerns, emphasizing holistic care.
Im thrilled to join Prairie View Medical Clinic and Dr. Olsons team, Jung said. The clinics philosophy of care aligns perfectly with my own, as Ive always focused on patient well-being and addressing the full spectrum of their needs.
Jung specializes in managing acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hypothyroidism, while incorporating her expertise in functional medicine for a comprehensive approach to care. She also provides preventive services such as annual wellness exams and DOT physicals. Recently, Jung has focused on wellness and preventive medicine, which she believes are key to the future of health care. She is excited to bring her expertise to Brookings, offering a holistic approach to disease prevention and overall well-being.
Prairie View Medical Clinic, led by Dr. Jennifer Olson, opened its doors in June as the only independent physician-owned clinic in the area.
