WATERTOWN The Brookings volleyball season came to an end on Thursday night as the Bobcats were swept by Watertown in the Class AA SoDak 16.
The set scores on Thursday night were 25-18, 25-14 and 25-15.
Brookings was led by Macy Even who had eight kills and 10 digs. Rylee Thompson had 10 kills and Morgan Norgaard had 11 digs. Kmaryn Streich had eight assists and seven digs. Kymber Buys had 10 assists.
The Bobcats had a final record of 14-17. Brookings head coach Erinn Thomas said
“The season didn’t end how we wanted, but I’m proud of what we accomplished together,” Thomas said. “We showed up, we put in the work and pushed through challenges. I saw so much growth in this team, especially from our captains, who took on big leadership roles and set strong examples for our younger players.
“I’m grateful to this group of seniors and can’t wait to see them thrive on their next journey. We created moments that will stick with us, even if the outcome wasn’t what we hoped. Every game taught us something and we gave it everything we had.”
