Colman-Egan earns comeback win, Redhawks beat Iroquois/Lake Preston

Colman-Egan earned a comeback win over Deubrook Area and Estelline/Hendricks scored a win over Iroquois/Lake Preston in Tuesday nights area volleyball action.

Colman-Egan 3, Deubrook Area 2

WHITE The Hawks outlasted the Dolphins, winning a five-set thriller on Tuesday night.

Deubrook Area raced out to an early lead with a 25-20 win in the first set and a 25-21 win in the second set but the Hawks won the third set 27-25, the fourth set 25-18 and the fifth set 15-11 to secure the win.

Kylee Johnson led the Dolphins with 14 kills. Zoey Molengraaf had 13 kills. Matte Bauman had 33 assists and an ace. Makenna Ekern, Johnson and Chloe Haines also had an ace.

Bauman finished with 18 digs. Matti Ramlo had 16 assists. Mataya Gouws had seven blocks. Molengraaf had six blocks.

Brynlee Landis had 21 kills for Colman-Egan. Finley Luze had 14 kills. Elaina Rhode had 11 kills. Kaylee Volker had a team-high 31 assists. Finley Luze had 22 assists.

Landis had three aces while Voelker had two aces.

Presley Luze had 24 digs. Landis had 21 digs and Voelker had 14 digs.

Michoen Williamson and Finley Luze had three blocks each.

The Hawks improved to 19-5 with the win and will host Garretson on Friday night.

The Dolphins fell to 15-15 and will host Baltic on Oct. 29.

Estelline/Hendricks 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0

LAKE PRESTON The Redhawks picked up the sweep, defeating the Sharks by scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-16.

Brooke Johnson had nine kills and 13 digs for the Redhawks. Presly Bury had seven kills, three aces and 15 assists. Allie Duenwald had 38 digs. Elyse Wegner had two blocks and Camby Bury had two aces.

Brityn Davies led the Sharks with five kills and 22 assists. Hadlee Holt had four kills and three blocks. Trinity Pirlet had two aces and 33 digs. Natalie Cundy had four kills. Chenoa Harris had an ace.

The Redhawks are 11-12 on the season and will host Elkton-Lake Benton on Monday.

The Sharks are 6-21 and will travel to Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Oct. 29.
