Hillcrest Elementary School celebrates opening with ribbon cutting

As part of homecoming week celebrations in the Brookings School District, the new Hillcrest Elementary underwent an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Demolition work on the old Hillcrest started June 5; the first day of school this year was Sept. 3. Ribbon-cutting ceremonies took place on Oct. 2.
