ARLINGTON A Friday morning accident a few miles west of Arlington sent two people to Brookings Health System with serious injuries, according to the Kingsbury County Sheriffs Office.
The incident, involving a pickup and a garbage truck, occurred 2 miles west of Arlington at approximately 7:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 14. The pickups driver, along with a passenger, were taken by ambulance to Brookings. The garbage trucks driver was not injured.
In addition to the sheriffs office, other responding agencies were Arlington Fire and Ambulance, Lake Preston Ambulance, Brookings Ambulance and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
