BROOKINGS The public is invited to join the League of Women Voters of Brookings and SDSUs Common Read for an engaging discussion entitled Untold Stories of Women in the Suffrage Movement. Presenter Sara Egge, associate professor of History at Centre College in Kentucky, will share some surprising aspects of the womens suffrage movement in the Midwest and include a focus on black women fighting for civil rights.
