BROOKINGS The Brookings Bobcats competitive cheer and dance teams competed a the Brandon Valley Invitational on Tuesday evening.
The Bobcats competitive cheer team finished in fourth place at the invite with a total score of 256.50. Brookings also finished fourth in stunt/tumble with a score of 256.5.
Harrisburg finished first in grand champion cheer with a score of 288.00 followed by Sioux Falls Jefferson (282.50), OGorman (263.50), Brookings and Watertown (241.50).
The Bobcats finished with a team score of 186.50 at the event including scores of 189.5 in hip hop and 183.5 in dance. Brookings finished 10th in hip hop, 11th in pom and 14th in the grand champion dance competition.
Brandon Valley finished first in grand champion with a score of 269.75 followed by Dakota Valley (267.00), Harrisburg (252.25), Yankton (250.25) and Sioux Falls Washington (249.25).
The Bobcats will return to action when they compete at the Harrisburg Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
