Scouts, Cub Scouts in Brookings hope upcoming fishing event lures in new members

On Sept. 16, the Scouts and Cub Scouts of Brookings will hold a fishing event at the Dakota Nature Park to recruit new members.

Pack 1 and 24 and Troops 1, 4, 13, and 251 will be present. Fishing poles will be supplied and there is no cost to the event. If anyone is interested in joining Scouts, boys and girls from kindergarten to 17 years old can join.
