Doug Pete Peterson passed away on Aug. 24, 2024.
Doug was born in 1942 in Brookings. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1960 and from SDSU in 1964. Doug married Lorilee Smith in 1964. Doug had a deep love for his family. He had a passion for all sports and was an elite athlete with many honors.
Doug is survived by his wife Lori, three children,10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life open house will be held at Red Rocks Golf Course in Rapid City on Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
