BRANDON The Brookings boys golf team is tied for 10th after the first run of the Warrior/Lynx Invite that was played at Brandon Golf Course on Monday afternoon.
The Bobcats shot 321 as a team on Monday. Rhys Heiberger led Brookings on Monday as he is in 24th place after shooting six-over par. Tyson Lunn is in 44th (+9) and Andrew Heinze is in 52nd (+11). Issak Earley was right behind Heinze in 53rd (+11). Jase Bauer is in 60th (+12) and Mason Diers is in 82nd (+18).
Watertown is in first place in the team standings after the Arrows shot 293 in the first round. Brandon Valley is in second (294) and Harrisburg is in third (298). Pierre is in fourth (303) and OGorman rounded out the top five (307) after day one.
Harrisburgs Charlie Swift is in first place individually after shooting three-under par. Ty Lenards of Watertown is in second after shooting even par. Harrisburgs Riley Christensen is in third and Brandon Valleys Cooper Shuman and Watertowns Jonathan Lake are tied for fourth. All three of those golfers are two-over par.
The second round of the tournament is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. today at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls.
