BROOKINGS The South Dakota State womens golf program announced its schedule for the 2024-25 season on Friday. The Jackrabbits will participate in four tournaments during the fall and six tournaments in the spring, including the Summit League Championships in late April.
The team opens up its season by heading to Madison, Wis., on Sept. 8-10 for the Badger Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The team then travels to Wolcott, Colo., for the Golfweek Red Sky Classic on Sept. 23-25. Next the Jacks will go to Tommie Invitational in Stillwater, Minn., hosted by St. Thomas on Oct. 14-15. Finally, the team will close out the fall slate by heading to The Clash at Boulder Creek hosted by Northern Arizona on Oct. 20-22 in Boulder City, Nev.
The Jackrabbits open the spring by heading to Greensboro, Ga., for the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational hosted by Mercer on Feb. 21-23. The team will then host the Spring Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev., on March 10-11. They then travel to Sedona, Ariz., for the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona on March 14-16. The team will take part in the Ozarks National Invitational hosted by Missouri State on March 24-26. The Jacks close out their spring regular season by heading to Maricopa, Ariz., for the Cowgirl Classic hosted by Wyoming on April 2-3.
The Summit League Championship will take place April 20-22 in Mesa, Ariz., at the Longbow Golf Club.
Ericka Schneider will lead the Jackrabbits in her third season as head coach of the womens golf program. The program returns six golfers from last years team, which placed third at the Summit League Championship.
