RoyMoni Josiah Garcia, 4 months, passed away on Aug. 3, 2024, at Brookings Health Systems.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Rudes Funeral Home, Brookings, SD. Visitation was from 2to 4 p.m Sunday Aug. 11, at Rudes Funeral Home.
RoyMoni Josiah Garcia was born April 3, 2024, in Brookings, SD the son of Analiz Ariana Garcia and Reed William Hammond. He lived his short life in Brookings with his parents and big sister, Alexandra.
RoyMoni loved going to parades, parties and carne asadas. He loved the 4th of July, watching the colors of the fireworks as they exploded. Getting all of the attention from his family and friends. He had a million-dollar smile and he was always so happy. He enjoyed being swung in his swing while watching the TV. His big sister, Alexandra loved holding RoyMoni, she loved to show him off and made it clear Roy was her baby.
He was a strong and adventurous baby. He left an imprint on everyones heart. He always treasured having his mom rock him to sleep and her constant companionship through his journey through life.
Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Analiz Ariana Garcia and Reed William Hammond; his sister, Alexandra Valenzuela; his grandparents, Ross and Larisa Hammond and their grandchildren, Piper and Paxton; his grandparents, Don and Brenda Swartos, Mami Toti and her daughter, Isa and Leticia B y Patricia (Xander) Lopez; uncles and aunts, Julio (Diana) Gonzalez, Melissa (Eric) Munoz, Ruthy (Stevo) Ramsey, Lizbeth (Jose) Reyes, Alondra Gallardo and Ray (Michelle) Garcia, We Want to just Give Thanks To God For Letting Us Have The Time We Got To Spend With Him.
