LINCOLN COUNTY A motorcyclist who died July 30 in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 18 near Lennox has been identified by authorities.
Preliminary crash information indicates Jerry L. Wallenstein, the driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 18 in the left turning lane to turn northbound onto 466th Avenue. The driver of a Harley Davidson, Jerry A. Shafer, was westbound on U.S. 18. The Silverado collided with the mMotorcycle, ejecting Shafer, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and a passenger in the Silverado were not injured.
