Mike Oswald died Friday, Aug. 2 surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday, Aug. 10, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Madison. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9 with a 7 p.m. prayer service also at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Michael Robert Oswald was born Feb. 23, 1947, at the Canova Hospital to Robert Bob and Eleanor (Williams) Oswald. Mike joined the Air Force in October 1968 and served in Vietnam. He returned home in 1972 and attended Northern State University where he met Cindy Wilson. They were united in marriage on May 25, 1974 and lived in Canova and Brookings before making their home in Madison and welcoming seven children.
