ELKTON Charles Hegerfeld, CEO of BankStar Financial, recently announced the completion of two new bank buildings in Volga and Elkton. The Volga branch, now located at 424 E. Highway 14, opened on June 3, while the Elkton branch at 124 Elk St. opened on June 17.
The Volga facility, which broke ground in June 2023, features a drive-through window and drive-through ATM, enhancing customer convenience. The new building also includes additional office and conference space to accommodate our growing team.
In Elkton, the new building mirrors the design of the Brookings branch and restores full banking services, including a night deposit box and drive-through ATM access.
We are excited to bring customers new banking facilities that reflect the growth of our business and our shared vision of the future, said Hegerfeld, And we are also pleased that we could incorporate some of the original buildings historical features into this new design.
Both projects were completed with minimal disruption to banking services, thanks to the dedication of the banks staff and contractors.

BankStar partnered with Clark Drew Construction and Perspective Architecture on both projects, which also featured many other local contractors.
