Brookings Cubs rank third in final poll

WATERTOWN The Brookings Cubs rank third in the final South Dakota Class A Amateur Baseball poll which was released on Wednesday evening.

The Cubs, who are 14-4 on the season, trail the second-ranked Sioux Falls Brewers and (10-5) and the top-ranked Renner Monarchs (10-3) in the Class A poll.

The Mitchell Aces (10-3) and the Yankton Tappers (16-3) round out the top five spots in Class A.

Winner-Colome is the top team in Class B with a record of 17-1. Dell Rapids (19-2) is second in the rankings followed by the Tabor (11-5), Redfield Dairy Queen (15-0) and Canova (13-6).

The Flandreau Cardinals (10-10) rank sixth in the Class B poll.
