Brookings High School will induct five members of the 2024 Hall of Fame Class at the 19th Annual Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony during halftime of the Bobcat football game against Sturgis on Aug. 30.
The inductees were selected because they demonstrated exemplary accomplishments in educational sports as student-athletes or members of the athletics department staff at Brookings High School.
The 2024 Bobcat Sports Hall of Fame class includes one inductee in five categories: male veteran, female veteran, male, female, coach. The class will also include the 1987 Class AA State Champion boys basketball team as the 2024 Bobcats team of honor.
This years individuals inducted include Byron Luke (Male Veteran Class of 1952), Lisa Dunlap (Female Veteran Class of 1978), Chris Wagner (Male Class of 2003), Shana Theobald (Female Class of 1999) and Lynn Frederick (Coach).
Kickoff at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on the South Dakota State University campus against Sturgis is at 7 p.m. Aug. 30.
