BROOKINGS Help spread the magic of reading to kids! Brookings Area United Way is conducting a book drive from now until July 17.
BAUW is looking for new or gently used books for kids of all ages.
The books collected will be redistributed to children at various community events throughout the summer, including the Brookings Bonanza on July 20. Donate books at 908 Hope Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Friday, or email [email protected] to schedule a pick up time.
The book drive is also a collaborative effort to help promote Dolly Partons Imagination Library, one of Brookings Area United Ways funded programs. Dolly Partons Imagination Library is another opportunity for children to receive free books, which sends children from birth to age 5 a free, age- appropriate book every month.
