Monday, June 3

  • 7:16 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a report of an assault. The incident is currently under investigation.
  • 9:22 a.m. Officers responded to the Hy-Vee parking lot in report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.
  • 10:04 a.m. This case is to document two phone extractions for DCI.
  • 1:15 p.m. Officers took a report of a vehicle break in.
  • 1:46 p.m. An officer took a report of harassment that was occurring via electronic means.
  • 7: 56 p.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of Sixth Street for a suspicious call a business had received. A report was filed and investigation ongoing.
  • 9:58 p.m. Brookings Police took a report of harassment.
  • 11:58 p.m. A citizen called in a traffic complaint on a vehicle that was pulling into a gas station off the interstate. An officer made contact with the female driver of the vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver for DUI.

Tuesday, June 4

  • 6 a.m. Officers took a report of a minor two vehicle collision.
  • 10:15 a.m. An officer responded to the 500 block of Main Avenue for the report of a two-vehicle, non injury accident. A report was generated.
  • 2:21 p.m. Officers took a report for a potential assault.
  • 7:58 p.m. A theft report was made to the Brookings Police Department. An item stolen from a residence was under $400.

Wednesday, June 5

  • 8:26 a.m. Officers took a report of a suspicious person. The case is under investigation.
  • 9:55 a.m. An individual called to report concerns with privacy and tenants rights.
  • 12:47 p.m. Officers took a report of a no-contact order violation.
  • 4:51 p.m. Officers responded to the 1100 block of Southland Lane for the report of an assault. The investigation is ongoing.
  • 7:15 p.m. Officers issued citations for disorderly conduct and intentional damage to property.
  • 9:48 p.m. An officer took a report of petty theft.

Thursday, June 6

  • 12:08 a.m. Law enforcement arrested a female for violating a no contact order.
  • 9:58 a.m. Police were dispatched to the Brookings hospital ER for a female who was bitten by a squirrel.
  • 11:23 a.m. Police were requested to conduct a welfare check on some children.
  • 1 p.m, Officers responded to a two-vehicle, minor-injury accident. A state accident report was generated.
  • 3:14 p.m. Officers took a theft from a motor vehicle report.
  • 3:20 p.m. Officers responded to the 2500 block of Sixth Street for the report of a no-contact order violation.
  • 8:13 p.m. The Brookings police made contact with a female who was later arrested for an outstanding warrant.
