The Brookings County Historical Society has been given a rare, 1835 sleigh to add to its unique Trygve Trooien Horse-Drawn Museum in Volgas city park.
Donor Richard H. Halstead, owner of Circle H Stables located 2 miles west of Brookings, has also given the Brookings County Museum a unique 1900s two-passenger, wire-spoked wheeled buggy.
Both vehicles have been refurbished and are in mint condition. The museum is open seven days a week from 1 to 4 p.m.
