As a former state legislator, I understand the complexity of issues that face our state. It is important that the legislators who represent our district have the knowledge and skills to address the variety of needs that come before the state legislature.
We are fortunate to have two excellent candidates with Mellissa Heermann and Roger DeGroot who are running for re-election to our two District 7 State House of Representatives seats. In addition to having an excellent record of service in the legislature, these individuals have many years of experience in public service. They support and voted for important issues such as K-12 education, post-secondary education, workforce recruitment, and health care. They have worked to promote South Dakota as a business-friendly state. Roger and Mellissa will listen to our concerns and will work hard to find solutions.
They have a common sense approach to legislating and are willing to represent us the citizens of District 7.
Please join me in voting to re-elect DeGroot and Heermann in the June 4, Republican Primary.
