BROOKINGS Physician Assistant Jared Mouw and Nurse Practitioner Abbie Entringer have joined the care provider team at Brookings Health System. Both will see and care for patients in the emergency department and the inpatient care unit.
As emergency medicine providers, Mouw and Entringer will treat and care for patients who visit Brookings Hospitals ER. Their duties include assessing a patients health status and condition, beginning treatment, and ordering tests as needed. They will also work with the emergency room team to stabilize and treat patients who experience acute health problems or traumatic injuries.
As members of Brookings Healths hospitalist team, Mouw and Entringer will work alongside physicians to care for patients who are admitted to Brookings Hospitals inpatient care and intensive care units. They will work closely with other members of the hospital care team to provide comprehensive treatment during a patients stay.
Mouw received his master of physician assistant studies from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He performed his clinical rotations at Pipestone County Medical Center, Brookings Health System and Avera Health. His medical experience includes six years as a paramedic.
Entringer received her master of science in nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia. She has over 13 years of medical experience, including seven years as a nurse practitioner.
