David Peterson of the Brookings Optimist Club recently presented Craig Ysbrand with a check to support the Trail Life group in Brookings. Trail Life teaches boys age 5 to 17 character and leadership in a Christian environment.
The Brookings Optimist Club’s motto is “Friend of Youth. It donates to many groups supporting youth in Brookings and holds events including the Trout Extravaganza, which will be May 18-19 at the Indian Hills Pond.
The Brookings Optimist Club meets and noon on Tuesdays at the Pizza Ranch, 1815 Sixth St.
