McKenzie Mages, Piper Stubbs earn Summit honorable mention

South Dakota State golfs McKenzie Mages and Piper Stubbs were tabbed honorable mention All-Summit League Friday.

Mages, a sophomore, averages a team-best 74.9 shots per round this season. She has four top-10 finishes in seven events played, including a first-place finish at the WIU Intercollegiate in early April. Mages has placed in the top-five in three of her last five outings. She recorded a +4 scorecard at the Jackrabbit Invitational in March, her best score-to-par this year.

Stubbs averages 75.3 shots per 18 holes this year. The junior has six top-10 finishes this season, including in each of the last three tournaments. Her best finish of the season came at the Tommie Invitational, where she tied for third place. At the Jackrabbit Invitational in March, Stubbs went 4-under for her best score-to-par of the season.

Ten total student-athletes were named to the leagues first and second teams. The teams were decided by a vote of the Summit Leagues eight head coaches.
