Due to an incoming winter storm, the International World Fair event set for 5 to 8:30 p.m. March 24 in the Volstorff Ballroom on the South Dakota State University campus has been postponed.
Lakshmi Sai Pratyusha Bugata, president of the International Relations Council, which is sponsoring the fair, made the announcement Friday in an email to The Brookings Register: As safety and wellbeing are our utmost priority and considering the potential risks associated with traveling and attending the event in such weather conditions, we believe it is in everyones best interest to reschedule. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. However, ensuring your safety remains our top concern.
Rest assured, we are actively working to identify an alternative date and venue for the event in April. Once the new details are confirmed, we will promptly communicate them to you.
Bugata welcomes any questions or concerns you may have. She may be reached at 605-690-6588.
