The Brookings School District Foundation is a newly organized nonprofit organization that works to provide funding for teachers and students that are in areas of education that received limited funding. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary had the foundation as its January Third Sunday Breakfast recipients.
The community members again showed their support for our nonprofit organization in the area. The foundation received at check for $1,225 for the assistance in serving the breakfast. Any nonprofit organization is eligible to apply for one of the eight months available for the breakfast. To be considered for one of the months that the breakfast is served, send a letter containing these items: organization name, mission statement, two member names with contact information, advertising strategies and any particular project the money would be used for.
