BROOKINGS Two businesses failed an alcohol compliance check conducted by the Brookings Police Department that took place Thursday.
The businesses were the BP gas station at 2420 Sixth St. and Schoons Pump N Pak at 202 Main Ave. S. According to a Monday news release from the BPD, they served alcohol to an underage buyer.
Eight other businesses passed the check, which focused on off-sale and on-sale liquor/malt beverage licensees within the city.
