SALEM The Brookings bowling teams played in their final regular season duals of the season and each came with victories. The girls finished with a perfect 13-0 record as they beat McCook Central/Montrose 45-5. The boys improved to 6-7 as they beat MCM 42-8.
The Bobcats will participate in the State Tournament next at Eastway Bowl in Sioux Falls. The girls will bowl on Feb. 22 and the boys will bowl on Feb. 23.
Girls
Brookings 45, MCM 5
Brooklyn Hieb was the top bowler for the Bobcats and she rolled a 637. She had a 211 in game one, a 193 in game two and a 233 in game three.
All six bowlers for Brookings rolled over 500. Alexis Hieb rolled a 528 as she had a 224 in game one, a 146 in game two and 157 in game three.
Catelyn Vernarsky rolled a 522 (187, 140, 195) and Kacee Rhody rolled a 513 (157, 170, 186). Teagen Bremmon and Ava Smith each rolled a 521. Bremmon had a 208, 154 and 159 and Smith had a 160, 211 and 150.
Boys
Brookings 42, MCM 8
Adrian Howard led the way for the Bobcats as he rolled a total of 576. He had a 211 in game one, a 195 in game two and a 170 in game three.
Three other bowlers rolled over 500. Gage Craft rolled a 563 with a 183, 214 and 166. James Tefft had a 524 (161, 195, 168) and Holden Austreim rolled a 512 (155, 156, 201). Joel Thompson rolled a 474 (155, 138, 181) and Jaiden Monell rolled a 454 (129, 148, 177).
