Brookings museum hosting New Year Celebration exhibit event on Feb. 13

BROOKINGS A new exhibit exploring New Year Celebrations in South Korea, China and Vietnam has been unveiled at the Childrens Museum of South Dakota.

On Feb. 13, the museum is inviting the public to a Celebration for Celebrations from 5to 7 p.m.

The evening will include an opportunity to explore the Celebrations exhibit as well as take part in a lantern art activity, story time, and a performance from the Sioux Falls Lion Dance. The event includes free admission and guests will be able to explore all the museum exhibits.

In addition, Caf Coteau will host a Lunar New Year meal including Chinese pork dumplings, noodles, and friend eggs and tomatoes as part ofits $5 community meal series from 4to 6:30 pm.

The exhibit is in partnership with the Freeman Foundation and the Association of Childrens Museums.
