AMES, Iowa The South Dakota State track and field teams garnered ten new entries to the SDSU All-Time Lists along with two school records as the Jacks thrived in the Iowa State Classic and Bison Open on Friday and Saturday.

Top performances for the day began with the first event, where Brielle Dixon came out hot in the womens 60-meter hurdle prelims, breaking her own school record in 8.41 seconds. The time qualified her for the event finals where she finished third overall in 8.44.
Jaiden Boomsma ran a PR of 7.49 in the 60-meter dash prelims to tie for second in school history. But she went on to break that in the finals with a clocking of 7.48 to win the event and claim sole possession of second all-time. Rich-Ann Archer also took fifth in the finals with a 7.74.
Boomsma then notched her third PR of the day, this time taking second overall in the 200-meter dash and improving her mark to 24.65 to maintain fifth in school history.
Jenna Johnson took fifth in the 400-meter dash with a clocking of 57.19 and Erika Kuntz came 10th in an even 58.00. Jessica Boekelheide also ran a PR in the event with a 58.05.
In the 800-meter run, Harley Fischer ran a 2:16.03 for sixth place while Reese Luze made her event debut and finished ninth in 2:16.55.
Grace Waage claimed runner-up in the mile with a 4:53.05 as Claire Beckman clocked a PR of 4:54.86 for a fourth place finish and eighth on the SDSU all-time list.
Leah Hisken led the way for SDSU in the 3000-meter run, winning the event in 9:34.70. Also finishing in the top 10 was Jessica Lutmer (fifth, 9:51.88, PR), Nicole Greyer (eighth, 9:57.99) and Caitlin Bright (10th, 10:11.73).
Emma Gonzalez (10:15.07) and Jenna Soine (10:17.46) also earned PRs while Ashlyn Hillyard (10:25.30) made her Jackrabbit debut.
The womens 4x400m relay A team clocked a 3:51.98 for a fourth place finish overall.
As for action on the mens side, Pierre Lear took third overall in the 60-meter hurdle finals with his clocking of 8.05.
Jared Wipf tied his school record time of 6.73 in the 60-meter dash finals for second overall as Drew Olson (6.84) was fourth and Evan Henderson (6.85) was fifth.
Wipf then joined Jake Werner in the top 10 of the 200-meter dash as Werner finished fifth (21.66, PR, fourth all-time) and Wipf was seventh (21.80, indoor PR, seventh all-time).
Thailan Hallman took fourth in the 400-meter dash in 48.54 seconds amd Brandon Kampsen clocked a 1:51.82 for sixth place in the 800-meter run and seventh on the SDSU All-Time List.
Josh Becker joined the SDSU Top 10 after clocking a PR of 8:14.05 in the 3000-meter run for a fifth place finish in the event. Also finishing in the top 10 of the event were Carson Noecker (sixth, 8:17.04, PR) and Cody Larson (seventh, 8:18.51, PR).
The mens 4×400-meter relay A team finished as the overall runner-up with a time of 3:17.15.
Bison Team Open in Fargo, ND
Action in Fargo initially kicked off on Friday, which saw SDSU weight throwers at the forefront of competition.
Three Jackrabbits finished back-to-back-to-back with Hunter Wallster in third (59-02.75), Ethan Fischer in fourth (56-05.75) and Caiden Fredrick in fifth (55-11.00). Ryan Hackbart also claimed a PR of 49-07.75
Milee Young represented SDSU in the womens weight throw and took 11th place with a mark of 48-10.00.
Saturday then resumed on the track with Gunnar Gunderson placing seventh in the 60-meter hurdle finals and clocking a PR of 8.54 in the prelims. Ben Morningstar also earned prelims PR with an 8.75.
Hudson Schroeder (7.05) and Morningstar (7.39) each ran new personal bests in the 60-meter dash as Gunderson (7.06) and Aiden Voss (7.48) each made their event debut.
In the finals of the mens long jump, Schroeder finished eighth overall with a mark of 21-11.75.
Tristen Hanna won the triple jump with a PR of 48-02.00, which is now seventh on the all-time list, and Matt Katz was runner-up of the pole vault with his clearance of 16-03.25
Conner Powers claimed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 6-04.75 as Carson Kirwan took seventh with a 6-02.75.
Fredrick finished fourth in the shot put finals with his throw of 50-11.50 as Lee Reiser took sixth with a 50-02.75. Hackbart also claimed a PR of 45-09.25.
On the womens side, Hannah Spoden took sixth place in the 800-meter run with her time of 2:20.69 as Selma Dingmann clocked a PR of 2:25.96 for 11th place.
Apryl Adderley finished ninth overall in the triple jump with her mark of 36-04.25.
Madison Kizer cleared 5-05.00 for fourth place in the high jump while Layne Kirkendoll took fifth with 5-03.00. Hadley Carlson came ninth with 5-01.00 and Robyn Dayton earned a new PR of 5-01.00.
In the finals of the womens shot put, Young finished fifth overall with a 42-04.25 while Nora Butler took ninth with a 40-05.50.
