MARSHALL, Minn. Southwest Minnesota State University announces the students recognized for academic achievement during the fall 2023 semester.
An undergraduate student who completes 12 or more A-F graded credits and achieves a grade point average of 3.5 or higher will be considered for the honors deans list. If a 4.0 grade point average is achieved the student will be on the high honors deans list.
Following are students from the area who were honored:
High honors
- Lake Benton, Minn.: Sharon Hudson, Alyna Trigg
- Pipestone, Minn.: Paige Ahrendt, Shantel Quaintance
Honors
- Ivanhoe, Minn.: Benjamin Engels, Jack Lacek, Jeren Rost
- Lake Benton: Kailyn Drietz
- Pipestone: Brianna Chatterton
Portz
Isabella Ann Portz of Brookings was named to the fall 2023 deans list at Baylor University. She is enrolled in the Hankamer School of Business.
