HARRISBURG The Brookings wrestling teams were swept in duals against Harrisburg on Tuesday night. The Bobcat boys 55-21 and the girls were defeated 45-16.
Brookings will wrestle in duals at Aberdeen Central on Thursday. The boys will wrestle at 6 p.m. and the girls will follow at 7 p.m.
Boys
Harrisburg 55, Brookings 21
Brookings won four matches on Tuesday night. Tate Helbolt secured the first win of the night for the Bobcats and he won a 7-3 decision over Tristan Stoeser in the 113-pound weight class.
Nolan Miles then pinned Emory Johnson in 3:39 at 138. Blake Kannegieter pinned Dylan Johnson in 2:30 at 157 and Joey Fitzpatrick pinned Brody Sonnenschein at 190.
In an extra match Zach Hagemann pinned Samuel Thompson in 2:42.
Girls
Harrisburg 45, Brookings 16
The Bobcats won four of the seven matches that didnt involve a forfeit on Tuesday night. Ramsie Hinricher got the first win of the night for Brookings in the 132-pound weight class. She won a 2-1 tiebreak victory over Teagan Bowers.
Cierra Strand then pinned Addi Vox in 3:36 at 138. Johanna Steinlicht followed that with a 5-1 decision over Sammie Reil at 145. Maizy Mathis pinned Rhiannen Heimdal in 3:09 at 156. Brookings did not have a win via forfeit on the girls side.
