Two area basketball teams were in action on Monday night and both teams lost. The Colman-Egan boys fell to Chester and the Oldham-Ramona/Rutland girls lost to Howard.
Boys
Chester 53, Colman-Egan 51
CHESTER The Hawks fell to 4-7 with the loss. The two teams each scored 17 points in the first quarter and the Flyers then led 29-28. Colman-Egan was able to gain a 41-39 lead at the end of the third but then were outscored 14-10 in the final quarter and suffered their seventh.
Jase Mousel led the Hawks with 21 points. Jackson Zwart had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jovi Wolf had 16 points to lead Chester. Layke Wold had 15 points.
Colman-Egan hosts Bridgewater-Emery tonight.
Girls
Howard 48, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 36
OLDHAM The Raiders dropped to 4-11 with the loss.
ORR was led by Julia Trygstad who had 10 points. Abby Aslesen had 24 points, 16 rebounds and eight blocks to lead Howard. Liz Albrecht had 13 points.
The Raiders host Dell Rapids St. Mary in Rutland tonight at 7:15 p.m.
