High school bowling: Brookings Bobcats split with Sioux Falls OGorman

BROOKINGS The Brookings Bobcats split a dual with OGorman at The Lanes as the girls team defeated the Knights 42-8 and the boys team fell 26.5-23.5.

The Bobcats will return to action on Feb. 1 when they have a dual with Harrisburg at the Eastway Bowl in Sioux Falls.

Girls

Catelyn Vernarsky led the Bobcats with a series score of 619. Vernarsky had a score of 204 in Game 1, 202 in Game 2 and 213 in Game 3.

Brooklyn Hieb was next up for Brookings with a series score of 558 after rolling a 156 in Game 1, 177 in Game 2 and 225 in Game 3.

Teagen Bremmon had a series score of 528 after scoring 155 in Game 1, 149 in Game 2 and 224 in Game 3.

Kacee Rhody had a series score of 501 after scoring 172 in the first game, 162 in the second game and 167 in the third game.

Peyton McBride had a series score of 489 after scoring 148 in Game 1, 214 in Game 2 and 127 in Game 3 and Tacey Freeman rounded out the varsity scoring with a series score of 487 with scores of 170 in Game 1, 183 in Game 2 and 134 in Game 3.

The Bobcats improved to 9-0 with the win.

Boys

Aidrian Howard led the way with a series score of 625 after scoring 208 in Game 1, 201 in Game 2 and 216 in Game 3.

Gage Craft was second for Brookings with scores of 225 in Game 1, 202 in Game 2 and 173 in Game 3 for a series score of 600.

Jaiden Monelly had a series score of 597 with scores of 222 in Game 1, 166 in Game 2 and 209 in Game 3 and Joel Thompson had a series score of 570 with scores of 206 in Game 1, 158 in Game 2 and 206 in Game 3.

Ziden Dicke had a series score of 569 with scores of 180 in Game 1, 192 in Game 2 and 197 in Game 3 and Dylan Scubelek capped the varsity scoring with a score of 181 in Game 1, a score of 199 in Game 2 and a score of 142 in Game 3.

The Bobcats fell to 4-5 with the loss.
