High school bowling: Brookings Bobcats sweep Dell Rapids

BROOKINGS The Brookings Bobcats scored a pair of wins as the boys bowling team defeated Dell Rapids 31-19 and the girls bowling team defeated the Quarriers 47-3 at The Lanes on Friday night.

The Bobcats will return to action on Monday when they travel to OGorman.

Boys

Brookings 31, Dell Rapids 19

Adrian Howard let the Bobcats with a three-game score of 597. Howard scored 211 in the first game, 178 in the second game and 208 in the third game.

Gage Craft was next for Brookings with a series score of 586 after scoring 138 in the first game, 215 in the second game and 233 in the third game.

Dylan Scubelek had a series score of 545. Scubelek had a 159 score in the first game, a 178 score in the second game and a 208 score in the third game.

Holden Austreim finished with a series score of 528. Austriem had a 161 score in the first game, 175 in the second game and 192 in the third game.

Jaiden Monell finished fifth with a score of 501. Monell scored 143 in the first game, 214 in the second game and 144 in the third game.

Joel Thompson rounded out the varsity scoring by scoring 148 in the first game, 168 in the second game and 165 in the third game. Thompson finished with a series score of 481.

The Bobcats improved to 4-4 on the season.

Girls

Brookings 47, Dell Rapids 3

Kacee Rhody had the top score for the Bobcats with a series score of 658. Rhody rolled a 235 in the first game, 220 in the second game and 203 in the third game.

Brooklyn Hieb had a series score of 598, scoring 212 in Game 1, 214 in Game 2 and 172 in Game 3.

Catelyn Vernarsky had a series score of 569 and scored 178 in Game 1, 180 in Game 2 and 211 in Game 3.

Teagen Bremmon had a series score of 554 with a score of 194 in Game 1, 148 in Game 2 and 212 in Game 3.

Alexis Hieb had a series score of 502 which included scores of 182 in Game 1, 166 in Game 2 and 154 in Game 3 and Tacey Freeman rounded out the varsity scoring with a series score of 482 with scores of 122 in Game 1, 184 in Game 2 and 176 in Game 3.

The Bobcats improved to 8-0 on the year.
