The Brookings High School Quiz Bowl Club competed at the Harrisburg High School Quiz Bowl-O-Rama on Jan. 16.
Out of 32 teams, Brookings teams finished second, third, and eighth. The second-place team, at left: Nancy Yang, Vanessa An and Shaurya Sehgal. The third-place team, at right: Quinton Zhu, Sampada Nepal, Joseph Michna and Xavier St. Pierre. The eighth-place team (not pictured) included: Cole Knutzen, Albert Shore, Lucas Tucker, and Kavish Salunke.
The BHS Quiz Bowl Club has two more competitions in February and is sponsored this year by the Optimists Club.
