Twelve girls from Brookings Area Girl Scouts packed bags for the Brookings Backpack Project on Jan. 10.
These girls packed healthy and easy to make snacks and meals for local students in need. The Brookings Backpack Project serves Brookings County year round by providing food for children who may otherwise go hungry.
The girls were excited to be able to give back to our community and help their fellow classmates.
