South Dakota State will recognize the 2023 national champion Jackrabbit football team at a pair of campus events on Jan. 18.
A meet-and-greet event is planned for 5-6:30 p.m. at Club 71 located inside Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. Student-athletes and coaches will be available for autographs and media interviews during a social hour, followed by a short program starting at 6 p.m. Fans also will have an opportunity to have their picture taken with the national championship trophy.
Following the free social event, the team will be recognized at halftime of that nights mens basketball game against Omaha. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Frost Arena. For game tickets, log on to JackrabbitTickets.com.
South Dakota State completed a 15-0 season and claimed its second Football Championship Subdivision national title in a row with a 23-3 victory over Montana Jan. 7 in Frisco, Texas.
