WHITE Iroquois/Lake Preston took the lead early and led for most of the game as they defeated Deubrook Area 57-45 on Thursday night.
The Sharks jumped out to a 17-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 26-20 at halftime. ILP continued to lead in the second half, holding a 42-39 lead at the end of the third quarter and out-scoring the Dolphins 15-6 in the fourth quarter.
Adison Moore led the Sharks with 23 points while Kera Dubro had nine points. Hadlee Holt had eight points while Faith Steffensen and Chenoa Harris had six points each. Becca Bich had five points in the win.
Mataya Gouws and Kyarra Blum each had 13 points for the Dolphins while Kadence Bowne had 11 points. Kylee Johnson had seven points and Matte Bauman had one point in the loss.
The Sharks improved to 6-3 on the season and will take part in the 281 Conference Tournament on Jan. 12. The Dolphins fell to 3-5 with the loss and will host James Valley Christian on Friday night.
