HOWARD The Hawks took an early lead and pulled away late to beat the Tigers on Tuesday night.
Colman-Egan led 20-12 at the end of the first quarter before Howard cut the lead to 28-23 at halftime. The Hawks held on to a 35-30 lead at the end of the third quarter before out-scoring the Tigers 17-14 in the fourth quarter.
Kaylee Voelker knocked down five 3-pointers and had a game-high 24 points for the Hawks.
Abby Aslesen and Tana Hoyer had nine points each for the Tigers while Liz Albrecht had eight points.
The Hawks are now 5-1 on the season and will return to action when they travel to Freeman on Thursday.
