The Flandreau boys basketball team improved to 2-1 after beating Beresford on Thursday night. Arlington lost to Castlewood in other area action.
Flandreau 71, Beresford 45
FLANDREAU The Fliers were led by Luke Sheppard who had 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Alfie Henderson had 12 points and Kevin Burshiem had 10 points.
Beresford was led by Andrew Atwood who had 15 points.
Flandreau hosts Castlewood on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Castlewood 73, Arlington 30
ARLINGTON The Warriors led 28-9 at the end of the first quarter and took a 49-16 lead into halftime. They would extend the lead to 61-24 at the end of the third and outscored Arlington 12-6 in the final quarter.
Arlington shot 31.6% from the field and was 2-of-10 from three. The Cardinals were led by Miles Antonen and Paxton Rheault who each had nine points. Blake Madsen had six points.
Castlewood shot 45.9% from the field and was 5-of-29 from three. The Warriors were led by Byron LAue who had 16 points and 13 rebounds. Lane Tvedt had 14 points, Jamison Keszler had 11 points and Luke Baumberger had 10 points.
Arlington is now 0-2 on the season and hosts Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
