Three area volleyball players were honored by the South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Associations All-State teams.
Class A
In Class A Elkton-Lake Benton senior Tevan Erickson made the first-team. This is the third straight season that she was named to a Class A All-State team as she was named to the first-team last year and the second-team in 2021.
Erickson helped lead the Lady Elks to a third straight SoDak 16 appearance and a 21-12 record. She had 847 set assists, 443 digs, 103 kills, 13 solo blocks and 66 block assists. She also had 56 aces and a 96% serving percentage.
For her career she had 2,965 set assists, 1,345 digs, 398 digs, 174 block assists and 54 solo blocks. She had 174 aces in her career and had a career serving percentage of 95%.
Estelline/Hendricks senior Kenzy Beare was an honorable mention in Class A. Beare helped lead the Redhawks to a 25-7 record and the Region 2A semifinals.
She had 530 kills, 238 digs, 40 solo blocks, 20 assisted blocks and 38 aces. She finished her career with 1,340 kills, 995 digs, 270 blocks and 170 aces. This was her first time being recognized by the SDVBCA.
Class B
Colman-Egan senior Daniela Lee was named to the Class B second-team. She helped lead the Hawks to a fourth straight State Tournament. They went 30-6 in her senior season and won the consolation championship at State.
Lee was named the Register Player of the Year this season after racking in 361 kills, 556 digs, 84 blocks and 31 aces. She had a kill percentage of .237 and a serving percentage of 92.1%.
Lee finished her career with 1,501 digs, 806 kills, 285 blocks, 94 assists and 88 aces.
