High school bowling: Brookings girls improve to 4-0 on season

The Brookings girls bowling team improved to 4-0 on the season after beating Yankton on Saturday in Brookings and Sioux Falls Lincoln on Monday in Sioux Falls. The Brookings boys dropped to 1-2 on the season after falling to Yankton.

Girls

Brookings 43.5, Yankton 6.5

Brookings had six bowlers with a total of over 500. Brooklyn Hieb had a score over 600 as she finished with a total of 674. She had a 213, a 213 and a 248.

Kacee Rhody finished with a 599. She had a 202, a 172 and a 225. Teagen Bremmon had a total of 569 with scores of 203, 179 and187. Peyton McBride had a total of 567 (179, 193 and 195), Maddey Austreim had a total of 534 (160, 190 and 184) and Carelyn Vernarsky had a 510 (158, 167 and 185).

Boys

Yankton 42, Brookings 42

The Cats had five bowlers shoot a total over 500. Holden Austreim had a total of 583. He had a 200, a 186 and a 197. Dylan Scubelek had a total of 571. He rolled a 160, a 199 and a 212.

Adrian Howard had a total of 564 with a 170, a 188 and a 206. Gage Craft had a total of 545 (143, 200 and 202) and James Teft rolled a 533 (193, 194 and 146). Zaiden Dicke rounded things out for Brookings with a 467 (160, 145 and 162).

Monday

Brookings 43, SF Lincoln 7

Hieb led the way for the Bobcats again as she had a total of 625. She rolled a 220, a 197 and a 208. Rhody rolled a total of 589 with a 213, a 189 and a 187.

Bremmon had a total of 547 (161, 204 and 182). McBride had a total of 517 (182, 147 and 188), Vernarsky had a total of 465 (138, 180 and 147) and Austreim had a total of 447 (161, 146 and 140).
